About to pick up my first Audi & there seems to be a general dislike towards Audi drivers. How come ?
I always thought it was Volvo drivers who didn't see bikers & BMW drivers were wan**rs ?

i dont hate audi drivers, i dont like basic audis, i do not see the point of buying a golf, polo or a passat, for more money without buying the options too make it worth is. IE

s - line
xenons
bose
leather
sat nav

i dont like rep spec dervs, but a nice speced on is no problem, so long as you dont tailgate your be fine.

Also dont try to defend you bought it to be sporty and cause its good to drive, because its not.

what one did you go for? im looking at a well speced a3 for around £16k which isnt too bad vs the same age used golf.

A car bought by the masses for it's badge.

What is there to like expect bland styling and an overpriced sense of self importance.

Ask any member of Joe Public why they bought an Audi and it will tell you everything you need to know.

B7 S4? Different story entirely. But then how often do you see one of those on the road?

I'll be hated all the time out on the road with an Audi & a BMW R1200 GS Adventure !
Have had a few sporty cars in the last few years, 2 x Impreza's, Exige, Clio 200 Cup etc & fancied a more economical change this time around. How long I'll keep it is another question !

Unfortunately, the majority of Audi drivers (rep mobiles) now, are ex BMW (rep mobiles).

This means that they brought their awful driving with them.hehe

Sorry Matt.

I'll take a Skoda or Seat over an A4 and pocket the change which I can then go and spend on something I'll actually enjoy driving.

Blimey. There are a fair few Clarkson parrots in this thread. There was a time when Clarkson was pro Audi, describing them as driven by people with taste and an innate sense of style, such as architects.

Then he got pissed off because too many people bought Audis.

Fortunately, I bought mine even longer ago than JC started spouting biggrin
