From a very sorry looking this:

to a very smart looking this:

New bumper and headlights plus associated bits (yes I know it's the other side but you get the idea).

On recommendation from several members on here, I called Chris Gregory at Knaresborough. He came out that same evening to look at the car and the next day he faxed the quote direct through to our neighbour's insurance company.

Everything went through very smoothly, he sorted out the small parking ding in the rear wheel arch while he had it and, we had the wheels refurbed and painted.

We were expecting to get the car back late this week but I got a call from Chris this afternoon saying it was all ready. Yet again, because he knew Louise would be giddy to see the car, he waited an extra half an hour for me to get back from work. The car looked lovely and shiny and, he had some very nice machinery in the shop as well

So, a huge thank you to Chris and to those that recommended him. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. smile

Hmm, as you'll have seen on Facebook Rich, the jury is still out on the wheels. Not quite the finish I was expecting at all. I was expecting a more uniform finish with not quite so much black in.

Feeling a bit guilty that I've inadvertently bollxed up Louise's pride and joy frown

Are they shadow chrome powder or similar Al? Who did them?

Chris uses The Wheel Specialist at Garforth here

The finish is called Flash Chrome Marcus but in hindsight, I should have gone for smoked chrome. Good job done though.

I went to see them a while back when I was thinking of having shadow chrome on my spiders and was a bit unimpressed with the finishes up close. They were a bit unsubtle like badly highlighted hair, if you know what I mean.

Hence I wish I had gone for an all over shade. To be fair, they have agreed to redo them at a discounted rate if we really can't live with them, so you can't say fairer than that.

My fault for not going to see the finish in person.

Fair enough. Did you get the paint on the TR done as well? I saw your thread re the potential sale.

No, just the Z.

The guy who is coming to see the Ferrari this weekend will take it as is if he wants it.

Not so sure on that Rich. There is a chance it may be replaced with something a little less mobile smile Just a chance mind.

Blimey, and I drove it all the way home and parked up and took a photo and didn't notice.
