Giant Coldrock

Hi Guys,

Bit of a random question but I have an old Giant coldrock which I am in the process of turning into a bit of a beater I can pop to the shops etc.
The bars are currently very narrow and I have a spare pair of 31.8 bars which I am hoping to swap.
Problem is the Stem is all in one jobby, and it wont fit the large bars.
Just wondering what I need to replace it with? Not looking to spend a lot i.e. ebay, etc.?
Also random question regarding wheels, I take it they are standard 26 I have on currently? They are pretty chunky looking to change for a thinner set?

Would these fit? What is the difference in 1.5 /1.95?
