Hi chaps
Could anyone tell me where to get rear wheel bearings for my 350i and is it a difficult job to do.
Thanks

Motor factors: Mk2 Ford Granada rears are what you need.
Not a massively difficult job if you have a half-decent toolkit, big vice, hydraulic press, that kind of thing biggrin
Normally when you get a bearing kit you get new seals with it; TVR decided to be awkward and fitted two of the same seal (inner and outer) where Ford used two different ones. If you're lucky you'll be able to salvage two of the old ones, otherwise it can get a bit time-consuming trying to find another pair of seals.
Hub nuts are big Nylocs and need something like 250 lb/ft from a big torque wrench to tighten correctly. Some folk recommend split-pinning the nuts as well; some wheels have come off over the years. I never had any trouble with my old Tasmin but my 390SE has the nuts cross-drilled and pinned.

I spotted someone is doing seals too, £12 a pair, so with the bearings at £45 the pair that ain't bad (you get 2 useable seals with the bearings).

If they have the seals (Two per bearing) then sounds like the ones I got, and yes they will fit your 350i.

O! are you going to come to the fest and bring a few Wooden Steering wheels with you (Suitable for wedges)

Andy.
Thanks for the info, im not sure about the fest yet as doing part time driving for a super car club. Leeds yesterday in a SLS and London the day before in a Ferrari 458. I will certainly do my best to come and bring some wheels as well.

Hi Guys.
Well i have now got a pair of rear wheel bearings from ebay, they come with seals as well. They where £45 including postage which was half the price of anyone else so very pleased.
I would suggest if anyone needs some now or in the future that they get them pretty quick as i dont think they will hang around long at that price.
