ball joint size?

Can any kind sole measure the witdh of there front top ball for me? I am just rebuilding my front suspension and have replaced my old 2 piece wishbones for new one piece ones, but my ball joint looks rather thin compared to the gap in the new wishbones. just wondering if they changed them later on.

Shouldn't there be some shims to allow adjustment of caster angle?

there are 2 shims that hold the bolts together as such but still nowhere near the witdh, will have a word with dom if i get chance

You need 2 thicker shims than the ones you took out. Clever trevor sells 2 x 3 mm shims which is what you will need. The shims on the early two piece wishbones are far to thin.

just measured up and the difference is 10mm, so the 6mm oversize shims would still leave almost half a centimetre. seems abit much?

Ehmm. I had new one piece wishbones, new ball joints and the shims from Trevor and they all fitted great. Thinking about it maybe the shims are a bit thicker than 3mm. Cant check mine at the minute because i am not with it.
