Has anyone ever been to a "Ferrari Racing Days" event?

This is where they have the 458 Challenge races, FXX & 599XX programs and the Corse Clienti (rich blokes driving Ferrari's entire F1 back catalogue).

They are staging one of these events at Silverstone in September and I'm wondering if any of you have been to a previous one and if so, what you thought of it.

Cheers

I went to the event run for Ferrari's 60th anniversary in 2007. My primary reason for attendance was the opportunity to see Irvine Laidlaw's 312PB being raced in one of the Ferrari/Maserati Historic races. This was the first time in 10 years I'd had chance to see one being actively raced so not to be missed.

Otherwise it was a decent day - world's largest collection of F40s, FXX demos and Corse Cliente as well. The Corse Cliente demo I saw at the Monaco Historique the following year was better but still, it's a chance to see some dramatic cars. Just don't expect all the drivers to be brilliant.

My advice - for what it's worth - would be to go to the Goodwood Revival the same weekend. The Ferrari day will be fine enough but Goodwood, for me at least, is the best race meeting you'll find in the UK. It's certainly the best I've ever attended. Whatever you choose, enjoy your day at the races.

No problem. I'm a Ferrari enthusiast through and through but if you choose a race meeting to attend that particular weekend I'd recommend Goodwood. You won't have a bad time at Silverstone either though!
