up in the passenger footwell dependant on where they stuck it last (or left it dangling on the wires), remove the covering footwell carpet/board and look up to left if its in the same spot as mine.
Isnt that the fan amplifier? The flap motor is controlled by the dash ecu, which is behind a cover in the drivers footwell.
The complete heater unit is controlled from the Dash ECU, which is sitting on the right side of the Pedal box. The same ECU which controls the DashPod. In the upper side of the passenger footwell is the heater amplifier, which controls only the heater fan, not the stepper motors for the air distribution...the connector of the heater amplifier can get damaged by the high currents....

Some are screwed into place so be careful. Mine was, lucky I checked after the second yank otherwise I could have fooked it royally thinking it was stuck in placeIf nothing happens when you move the rotary knob it might be the ribbon cable at the back is damaged or loose. I had this too, cheap fix just to move the connector down the cable or buy a new one.

the heater lights change colour and the fan works, but Im not sure if I should be hearing the fan stop when the temp is changed, I also used to hear a light thud when the flap moved in my tuscan?
Yes fan stops whilst the heater flap moves (you hear a humming noise). Does the air between the screen and dash vents move? Cold should be dash vent only hot should be on the screen.Sheo
