Quick answer required!!!! please help

Bowed to PH pressure and purchased a Mark 1 1995 1.8 in BRG.

No power steering / air con / electric windows etc and I love it ....but the standard urethane steering wheel is shot.

My question is therefore...am I right in thinking that this model does not have a steering wheel airbag? and would the Momo pictured simply swop out or would I require a boss adapter?

I would assume that the boss above enables the horn to be used?

Your comments would be gratefully received (asap!!!!!)

I have the same wheel:

Yes, no air bag
Yes the horn works through the middle boss.
I did not need an adaptor, but there is no saying your wheel is exactly the same as mine (looks it though)

AFAIK Theres two boss/hub designs on the Mk1 - one fits Momo wheels, one fits Nardi type wheels.

I beleive they have the same/similar PCD but at a different orientation?

Anyways - the Urethane wheel wasnt fitted to many cars. I imagine that your car has one of the above type bosses fitted. So you'll be able to fit EITHER the Momo type wheel from an Early standard car, OR one of the Nardi Variant wheels, as found on S-specs, etc.

Just gotta work out which one you need, and buy wheel accordingly.
