My car history

Hi all,
Just thought I'd add my car history onto here and a brief description of them all and will try to get pictures later tonight
Started off with my first car which was a trusty MG ZR 105 in yellow which had the VVC 160 brakes and was lowered with an induction kit. Made a nice noise and handled well but didn't go very well with only 103bhp. Wasn't bad for my first car though. Loved the way this thing liked to be chucked into corners!
Next I purchased a nice cosmos blue (was almost a purple colour) MR2 T Bar. Loved taking the T bar roof off even though it was a bit of a pain. This was a fair bit faster and torquier than the ZR and also my first RWD car which had a bad reputation but I found it to be ok as long as you treated it with respect. A lot of fun too! The pop up headlights always made me giggle. The engine liked to rev aswell and had a kick at around 5000rpm. Did a few bits to this, bigger, vented brakes, induction and exhaust again. Sold it after an enjoyable 18 months.
Next up was my RX8 231. No price difference between the slower one and the faster one so I thought why not, and insurance was only about £50 a year different. Bought this in literally as new condition 3 years old on 10400 miles. Sold it on around 20k but in this time it was perfectly trouble free and didn't even use much oil. I stuck a cold air induction kit on this (again surprise surprise!) and it sounded AMAZING!! I miss the engine in this car and also how easy it was to get the back end out and keep it there...was a lot of fun!
After about a year sadly I saw prices dropping and I think I sold it just in time as I sold it for exactly what I bought it for, I didn't spend a penny on this car in anything apart from petrol! No depreciation, no tax, no tyres, just fuel! Perfect Miss this car highly..
My next car was a Celica 190 VVTi. I rate these quite highly, especially for what they can be purchased for now. Bit of a bargain! That engine loved to rev! Problem was keeping it in "lift" (Toyota's version of VTEC essentially) between 1st-2nd was hard as the gear ratios were crap. Overall a nice car though for the price. Oh forgot to add also - in this car I had a blowout on the motorway at high speeds but that's another story! After the blowout I had lost faith in the car it didn't ever feel the same after and it had to go. Would still reccomend one though.

Next up was my childhood dream car of...an EP3 Civic Type R!
I picked up a 2005 model in good condition. You guessed it, it had an induction kit added. I just love a good induction noise ! First off I fitted the cheap and cheerful AEM V2 which sounded nice but sat in the engine bay getting heat. Next I did a straight swap off someone on the owners club for an AEM V1 which sat around the foglights to actually suck in cold air. It also made a funkier noise..more metallic! I fitted a Spoon N1 exhaust but it was too loud for day to day. I did a few bits to this in its time, took it to Santa pod, almost completely stripped it and had lots of fun. I miss this car the most, that addictive engine, the amazing gearbox and the Honda reliability!
And that brings me to my latest car. A bit different from all the other hot hatch/sport cars which revved high.
I've resorted to the fuel of the devil in the form of a BMW E39 530D.
Had it 2 months and already clocked up 4 thousand miles. Purchased on just over 90k, one owner from new and full BMW history. Touchwood been faultless so far. Got it remapped by Simon @ Emaps about 2 weeks ago to a claimed 240bhp and am very happy now. Averaging over 40mpg whilst driving it hard (as soon as the engine is warm of course) in perfect comfort and effortless cruising. Completely different experience to the previous cars but a good one nontheless!
My next car ideally would be an E46 M3 manual convertible in laguna seca blue or in black with red interior!

Depends if you class 23 as young or not..!
I'll get some pics up tomorrow. It's a standard looking black E39 530D sport manual which is really rare...vast majority are autos!
Has manual, none heated alacantra interior which I want to swap for leather, is it just a straight swap if I find some from a scrappy, ie if I find manual leather interior will it be a straight swap?

I think I got mine at 23 so young'ish!
The guy's yesterday is a Manual too, so not that rare
The seats should fit, just make sure you get the correct rears depending on split folding or not and make sure the fronts are sport seats. Was a couple of nice interiors on ebay the other week.

If your looking to get heated leather seats will be a nightmare to get them workng i'd imagine.I'll get some pics up tomorrow. It's a standard looking black E39 530D sport manual which is really rare...vast majority are autos!
