Unveiled at the Beijing Motorshow to celebrate the year of the dragon. Apparently done by the Q by Aston Martin people who created that monstrosity of a Virage Volante for Geneva. Available on the V8VS, DBS Volante and Virage. Includes touches such as 24-carat gold badges, embroidered headrests, special interior trim, commemorative sill plates and a choice of three unique exterior colours.

I have to say, apart from the interior and bling badges, I rather like the DBS Volante. Reminds me of Amethyst Red.

I'll say one thing for them... they know their market! Sales, even sales of blinged up cars abroad, are all good!

Yep, can't fault them for doing it. Only the same as Lamborghini with their Singapore Edition LP550-2.

If you're bald, you'll end up with a dragon embossed on the back of your head.

I reckon these are the most tasteful limited editions since the DBS UB2010. No black/anthracite wheels in sight woohoo

For the Chinese market; red is very symbolic. And the number 88 very lucky.

That makes a lot of sense. It would look fantastic with a cream truffle interior yum

Yes, on a serious note the DBS does actually look very nice. The way Aston paint finishes have such depth are what makes it for me.

I'm with George, a cream interior would look lovely with that. Or something dark.

I hope they release the colours over here too. That dark purpley red is fantastic.

Not enough bling for the Chinese I guess smile

Surprised there isn't a Rapide available in that spec, China is it's main market isn't it?

Don't think so as not enough room in the back

Uh? For legroom or headroom?
According to this extensive and reliable study:-

http://www.interbasket.net/news/4385/2009/09/avera...

UK is on average just under 3" taller than China.
That should mean there's a heap of room in the back of a DB9 let alone a Rapide smile
