Hi

Pretty angry, just worked out why some claims companies have been calling me, every day. Its been since I made a windscreen claim 2 weeks ago. Looks like my insurers have sold me as a lead (saying that i've just claimed), so now i'm getting hassled.

Sure it may offset the cost of the claim in most cases, Its behaviour like this that is pushing insurance up for us all (and annoying me now)

Its a windscreen. and now ive got people hassling me to claim for compensation. What the deuce!?

Anyone else had a similar experience after something so routine and minor?

all you can do is tell them to foxtrot oscar or say "hang on he's here somwhere " then see how long they stay on the phone.

My record was 16 mins although I did go back to the phone a few times and say "oh he'll be on in a sec"

Could it not be coincidental?

Since visiting casualty with a broken finger last summer I have had a pretty much constant stream of texts and occasional calls saying that I am due £x thousand compensation.

The NHS selling your details is far worse than an Insurer doing it IMO.

I haven't been to hospital and I haven't claimed for a windscreen; nothing even close. Yet I get those texts regularly.

Some online price comparison sites specifically ask if you've made a claim for windscreen replacement.

I hope you have recovered from the accident you had!

Don't....last time this happened (3 years ago) come renewal time, Bell put my insurance up from £700 to £1100. Needless to say, I am no longer a customer.
