Does anybody happen to know whether a trumpet for a 45 DCOE will also fit a 40 DCOE ?. Is the sleeve diameter the same ?. I thought that chokes for these were interchangeable and the 40/45 designation was mainly to do with the throttle body diameter where the butterflies are located. Been offered a set of trumpets for a 45 and wonder whether these will fit my 40's.

Thanks in advance.

The throttle body is the limiting factor with these - the bottom of trumpets for a 45 will be 45mm across, and for a 40 it'll be 40mm across.

Would be best to measure the input to both sized carbs. Another example. A 50DCO Weber & a 55DCO Weber have identical input throat sizes........ 55mm. The same trumpet will fit either carb. -Dave-

OK thanks for the replies, trumpets for 40/45 DCOES are definitely not interchangeable.
