Contactaspray Accident Repair in Guildford

A friend of mine damaged the front wing of her 2008 Golf in a parking incident. She has received what looks like a reasonable quote for the repair from Contactaspray in Guildford. The few online reviews I have seen appear positive.

Has anybody had any good or bad experiences of these repairers they'd care to share?

They did a fine job for me back in 2004 on a new MINI Cooper race car (after an incident-packed event at Oulton).

Based on that, I asked for a quote for a full respray on the integrale road car and they didn't return my calls despite several tries. I guess they prefer replacing panels and respraying/blending them than doing restoration work.

I would recommend dk autos in aldershot, had a bit of work done there. If you ring and speak to mark the body shop manager and say les sent you.

It took a while but I'm glad we persisted. It was difficult getting a quote out of them and general email contact was poor trying to book it in. However the job was very well done and was documented with photographs throughout. They were clearly proud of the job they did. Stayed open late on a Saturday as we were late collecting. They even suggested we pay by bank transfer after we collected the car so were confident enough that we wouldn't raise a fuss about the work on greater inspection and not pay. Pretty happy altogether.
