So what do you all think? any real life experience of them??

The mrs is considering one to replace her nissan juke which for some reason she has never got on with.

Ok, So the Mrs took the Juke to the stealers this morning for its frst service.

Now look whats on my drive!

A hyundai veloster 1.6gdi sport.

Well she just has a loan of it for the day from the dealer which does both nissan and hyundai but i think its highly likely she will bloody buy one.

Basically a good friend of the mrs is best mates with the owner of the dealership so he had went down with her to make sure her juke service is dirt cheap. He also decided to use his influence to try and get her a good deal on a new car.

I have had a quick drive of the veloster and its nice enough but i am staying out of it. I will let her make her own decisions. Its got loads of kit on it and full leather etc but then again a 20k hyundai should have!

She hasnt talked figures yet but if she wants one she has been told that she will basically get what she paid back for her juke (we got a big discount through nissan factory worker) and that they will be able to do her a pre reg delivery mile (basically brand new) veloster for a really good price.

I am going to work and i have told her to take the car for a long drive on some country roads to see if she really does like it as much as she says.

The other car she is considering is a volvo c30 r design 2.0 petrol which is on offer at 14995 at the min. I think i would prefer the interior of the volvo but the hyundai has lots of other advantages.

I think it's hard to beat Hyundai (and Kia) for white-goods type cars at the moment. I haven't even seen a Velostar on the road though, let alone driven one.

I quite like these but havnt driven one yet! I guess your wife likes cars with unusual styling? If she likes it and its a good deal then she should go for it!

I agree they are "white goods"

They have come on leaps and bounds in the last fer years, its her choice though, she isnt really a pistonheader lol

If she likes the price / drive / kit / looks / service, then yeah why not indeed.

I like them, the silvers a little dull on that one but its still an interesting looking car.

No idea what they're actually like.

They look great in all the advertising blurb and indeed in that photo, but they just look wrong "in the flesh" IMO. It's that rear quarter on the driver's side. Looks off. Must be a huge blind spot too.
