Fully comprehensive insurance renewal letter received today from the company with the irritating dog for £303.16.
Checked renewal premium on-line with annoying red phone insurance company and was quoted, for a more attractive proposal, £215.18.
I phoned the dog insurance loyalty department and they were unable to match the red phone's quote, so I have switched insurers to the red phone.
I regularly read and hear about scary insurance premiums...but this does seem good value?
Any comments or similar experiences?

Sorry I cannot say whether your premium is good value - only you can decide that.
However my renewal came through a few weeks ago and was £100 less than last year. A good start. After getting alternate quotes and then comparing them (online) with my current insurer, I knocked another £80 off that figure. Armed with this info I called my current insurer who then offered me a further £40 off of that, so all in all I'm paying £220 less than last year. And here was I expecting to be paying more than last year!
