Try dripping a bit of oil down the front corner of the engine, see if that helps hehe

Running the coil packs without load may not be proving anything.
I'm told the packs and the wiring to them are known issues.

Is it definitely misfiring? Run an IR thermometer on the exhaust manifold branches under the heatshield, because if the pipe to the MAP sensor is broken, kinked or not fitted on the TU it can cause running so rough that it appears to be missing when in fact it isn't.

Injectors were a common problem on these.
How do you know it's no 2 that is not firing?
If you're checking it with a scanner, are you aware that no 2 is the 2nd from the clutch end?

NB1. while running if i remove 1,3,4 injector plug the car cuts out , if i remove nb 2 injector plug the engines still running thou missing ?

Ive marked the injector and moved it to nb 4 but still have the problem on nb 2 ?

Ive tryed a new coil pack still the same ?

Last night i run the engine @3k for 20 mins in the drive then just switched off , the new NGK plugs are very clean on 1,3,4 but nb 2 is a darker colour ?

And oil down the front ! been there it was loosing oil faster than i could top it up ! there is always a smart arse ;D

Im 99.8% sure its missing....

Will the wires reach to swap the injector wires? Swap 1&2 or 2&3. see if you can move the problem.

The injectors batch fire on the Tu3 so it won't make any difference which way you wire them.
Nothing blocking the injector port internally is there?

Sounds to me that you may have a vacuum pipe off?

I have a vague recollection of there being a pipe that goes to the evap valve under the o/s inner wing cover that can get pulled off (the valve) when doing a cam belt or head job (I'm fairly sure this was on the 206 but could of been some other small Peugeot).

Well getting there , had it on fast idle 3000 rpm for 20 min to get some temp into it last night. Took the plugs out and the ends were green indicating to me that it lean. Ok took the injector rail out with injectors still in and put a rag down and got the Mrs to turn it over. Expecting the usal spray i held it at arms lenght only to be greeted with next to fook all comming out i mean just a small splatter !!
So i checked the fuel in the car the light was on but the needle was above the red , so this afternoon its having £15 of fuel and a fuel filter , also i will blow the line through with the airline and see what happends .....

Might be worth checking the fuel pressure regulator isn't leaking aswell then. Could be jammed, but I wouldn't expect the problem to be confined to number 2 if that were the case.

I second this,I`m thinking its something stupid. As well as the main click on vac pipe that goes from the inlet manifold to the servo, isnt there a small push on vac pipe under the inlet manifold?? I have a feeling I remember having a miss fire after a head job on a 206 and I had left this little pipe off.

teacher Have you checked the fuel filter? I had a similar problem with a TU5 in a Saxo. The filter gets blocked causing a restriction of fuel and the injectors dribble instead of 'squirting' causing loss of power and spluttering. An easy check and could be the silly thing you're after.

Good luck!
