Who else is rowing to Wales Friday?
Discussion
I must admit this weeks weather has given me serious doubts about the Wales meet.
Then I thought, what the hell, 300+ miles in torrential rain, sod it, lets go for it. My car will be filthy, photo ops limited but what the heck.
Anyone else had second thoughts?
Apart from the wimp George who doesn't come out in inclement weather and has suspiciously hurt his wrist (wonder how, )
Looking forward to seeing everyone Fri eve...... I hope.

Sadly (for me), the missus has to fly out that weekend. That leaves my 5 yr old daughter and me. I did seriously contemplate bringing her along but I think the 200 mile roundtrip, plus the driving once there might be a bit much for her. Shame. Was looking forward to meeting you guys :-(
I heard that Aston's disintegrate in wet weather! So I will be leaving mine tucked up in a warm dry garage :;
Alternatively I will just watch the paddy recommended "reload" do it's thing and wash the car on Sunday....... yep i will be there in the dirty grey looking Aston. Now what was that my cousin 38 times removed said about women & cars?

I'm going for certain, afterall it is only a bit of rain.
Working on the basis that the weather is so changeable it could end up being fine
That was certainly the case last weekend I was out playing in Wales in the Caterham, forecast was shocking however apart from one heavy downpour for 10mins the day was excellent for driving
Hence I'll be there

I don't see a problem
All I see is ducks!
Seriously the weather forecast is for N Wales to dry up Friday afternoon, with some showers on Saturday.

Damn straight!! On my 6 miles drive to work this morning it alternated between pouring rain and bright sun. All part of the fun Interesting to see how the leather and dashboard cope in the inevitable drenching when I am caught with the roof down!

Good for you, it's hailstones that really hurt, bit like this on your head Interesting to see how the leather and dashboard cope in the inevitable drenching when I am caught with the roof down!
I've been looking forward to this for weeks
So is the young lad coming with me that was involved in a bad car accident last year, it will be a fabulous day out for him
Happily he is making a good strong recovery as well
Roof-off etiquette..?
Does the group stop for us Volante/Roadster folk to put their rooves up if it starts BUCKETING down? Not talking about some girly shower that a Boxster driver puts his/her hood up for, I am talking about the biblical cloudbursts we've been having than will drown electrics and rot leather within moments.
Or do we just harden the f*** up as the Aussies say?
