Hi,

I am undertaking a renovation of an old property and could do with some advice regarding my sound options.

I have decided to install Sonos ZP amplifiers in the Kitchen, Dining room, bathroom and bedroom. Looking at the units these amplifiers will power two speakers? I am looking at putting ceiling speakers into these four rooms. I know the sound isn't going to be as good as conventional speakers but I can live with this if it means no speakers on show. What ceiling speakers can you recommend?

The only room this leaves is my Lounge, I would like a decent home cinema setup in this room. Can this be connected through the Sonos network, if so how does this link up? Also any pointers for which surround sound I should go for in this room would be appreciated. I take it ceiling speakers wouldn't be the best way to go in this room or are there options for ceiling speakers that I should consider?

Cheers,

Ed

Ed, you've double posted this topic. Regarding speakers, this depends on the impedance (i.e. 4 or 8 ohms) as to how many pairs you can connect on each channel.. if I've read that correctly smile

Sonos do an unamplified version of the boxes you are talking about, think its called "connect" these days which you can use as an input to you stereo

Oops sorry about the double post. I can't see how to delete the thread so will leave this one alone and carry on with the other.

Cheers
