Is there a quick and easy cure for stiff heater and aircon knobs?

Strangely mines seem to self heal and loosen off every now and then.

twist it really hard and something may shift out of the way, the levers that flip back and forth can have obstructions like the air ducting pipes, hot and cold is less f a problem.

take off stereo surround and look up at airbox you will see where the cable attaches to a lever, clear it of obstructions and view what happens when you turn the knob, nothing, nthing , nothing and then flips ton opposite side, get this one held in its upright position and secure it so it blows through all vents, then cut the cable off as it is now redundant, makes removing console easier aswell..smile

i cut the cable off the otherside also, it only eveer had too settings hot and cold, so i switch it manual on the airbox at the change of season, the only knob thats active on mine is the centre fan and AC control, i am going to modify so that the holes on either side are used some new digital instrumentation, probably going to put a clock in one..smile

so chris, what your saying is when you nob getter really stiff you twist it hard and it cures it?

I can see how that would work but.. jeeeez yikes
