Roof Latches - the plates they screw into !
Discussion
Dear All
Hope someone can help. Ive just purchased the Leven roof latches - very good, that replaced what was on my car and they were not the original plastic latches.
On the underside of both panels theres a plate with 3 screws that you bolt the latches into. A problem - passenger side plate is metal and holds very securely, drivers side plate is RUBBER and is not so secure when you screw in the latch !!
Does anyone have any ideas if I could find another metal plate, or would longer screws and washers do the job ?
I hope someone can advise please !!
Thanks - Moose

When I replaced mine, the TVR supplied mountings were only available in rubber. I did use larger screws than original when I fitted them - 1 1/4 " x 10 if I remember rightly.
