I hardly ever have vivid dreams. And on those rare occasions that I do, I hardly ever dream about anything interesting or exciting - driving, for example, almost never figures. So I'm slightly alarmed that for the third time in as many weeks I dreamt about driving a TVR last night.

It's never my own Chimaera. It was a Cerbera on this occasion, and bizarrely enough it was left hand drive, but it still points to some sort of deep-rooted psychological issue, I feel.

Back in the real world, the debacle with the rockers finally appears to be resolved, so hopefully the engine should be ready to drop back in some time next month, but it's over a year since it was taken off the road now. Clearly I have withdrawal symptoms.

I used to have dreams about mine when it was off the road.
Problem was that in the dreams there was very little to no power there.

Thankfully dreams rarely come true biggrin

It was a Cerb this time. Last time it was a Tuscan of some description and I forget the time before. All a bit strange as I'd go for a T350 or Tamora given the chance to own a Speed Six in real life, and when it comes to dreams I don't see why I couldn't stretch to a full on Sagaris.

The fact I rarely get to actually drive any of them in these dreams has some sort of psychological significance, I'm sure! biggrin

Not such a dissimilar situation, then. smile

I think if it was actually in my own garage the situation would be worse. It's a bit 'out of sight, out of mind' currently. Plus I'm conscious of the fact all this time its off the road means I'm saving money which might actually enable me to continue running it once it's back.

You're lucky. Mine is downstairs in the works garage and I do have access, but not the mechanical skill to get the thing to run (it cut out after I filled the tank, stalled and wouldn't restart. Sounds like it's now not sparking). I need it running in the next week or so as it's due an MOT back in the UK (then off to LM).....

I've been spending my evenings trying to figure it out, but it's very frustrating...and the weather here atm is lovely which isn't helping biggrin

My Bavarian colleague has a mechanic chap who can help, but he wants to take it away on a tow truck to fix and I'd rather he didn't......so we continue to fault find in the hope that it doesn't come to that......

In the meantime, I'll keep dreaming I guess ;-p

I was thinking of taking mine to LM this year, but wasn't sure it'd be a good shakedown run for a newly installed engine in a car that hasn't run for a year.

I'd have thought the opposite as there will be plenty of bods around should you run into trouble......

This is all perfectly normal Chris.

Dreams are often a way of exploring your subconscious prior to a significant upcoming event.

In your case this event is the imminent completion and return to the road of your Chimaera.

Recently I have been dreaming of castration, I wake screaming in a cold sweat clutching my groin.

I have no idea what my imminent event will be, but I'm pretty sure it will be painful laugh
