Forza 4 - I need some guidance
Discussion
I've been resisting temptation and have not bought this for a couple of reasons:
1) I don't own an XBox
2) see 1
Knowing there is a Volvo 242 in there did tempt me, but I resisted. However, now I've seen this in the pics thread:

I need to get it.
However, I have a couple of questions:
1) I assume the 4GB console is no use, so I'm best getting a 250GB with XBox live membership etc?
2) The Merc is DLC. Do I just need to get in game credits to buy it, or do I need to part with actual cash?
3) Given it is DLC is it still available? The Forza website make it look as if DLC is only available for a short period of time?
Sorry if the above are stupid questions - I'm used to a PS3 and GT5.
Cheers,
Doug

Yep the 250gb is fine and you will need live membership.1) I assume the 4GB console is no use, so I'm best getting a 250GB with XBox live membership etc?

No to buy in game DLC content you need to buy Microsoft points. Either buy a card when you get your xbox or can buy them in the xbox menus.
All the DLC/car parks are available under the in game section called market place, it should allow you to buy car packs or individual cars from the car park

The DLC is available for as long as the game is live, at the moment there are 7 car packs (I believe) plus the DLC tracks you will get if you buy a new copy of the game, they'll be on a scratch card that a DLC code is printed on.
I would do what Totlxtc suggested and get the cheaper 4Gb model and find a new hard drive for it.

Thanks for all the advice. Got a bundle at the weekend - 250GB console, Halo Reach, Fable 3, 3 months gold membership and an HDMI cable. Also got a 1500 point card and Forza 4.
As a longterm Playstation owner I've got to say I'm very, very happy. Forza 4 is much better than GT5 - easier to get in to, less poncy menus, more cars, better customisation. Plays really well too.
I am currently running a mildly tuned 242 turbo, and the 300SEL is lurking in the garage awaiting mods.
However, not so impressed with the chunky controller and the fact it uses AA batteries! That is a bit 1980s for me. I assume a charging station and some rechareable batteries are the way to go? I know a wheel would be a better bet, but it is SWMBOs birthday in two weeks, so no more major purchases for at least a month.
