The veneer section that surrounds the radio in my chim has faded and hence is now a lot lighter than the rest of the dash. I don't really want to go for a full new dash or fefurb as I'm thinking of changing the car soon. However, I would like to sort this if poss in the short term.

I'm wonderding whether it's possible to just get hold of this small section of veneer - possibly from a breakers etc... I'd need to have a look at a few to choose the one that matches the main dashboard best.

Any ideas where I could do this ? Is douglas valley the best bet ? or any other suggestions ?

thanks in advance.

I don't think the lower one is too difficult to remove. You could even try re-staining it with something nearer the colour? Or try DV, Fibreon or Bell Hill breakers.

would have thought LCC (london carriage Co)would be able to sort this out and restore your veneer for a reasonable price... Probably worth e-mailling them ( they were very helpful when I sent them a query last week) See previous thread re cracking veneers (1/7/04).
