In a month or so I will be taking my Chimaera to Manchester.

Thinking as I would be passing the Blackpool area, I kinda thought on the way down I would drop the car in to a specialist for a service - as we're planning a trip around Europe in the summer, and I dont want to leave anything to chance!

Initially I'd thought of TVR Power, but it's a fair bit past Manchester.

I also noticed these places...

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with them, or could recommend a good place?

We're lucky in the NW, lots of specialists. I have heard good things on here about both of those you have listed, but personally I use Track v Road at Clitheroe and have always been very happy. My car is back there in two weeks for a service and MOT.

My Tuscan has been serviced and MOT by XWORKS. Fantastic job by top blokes. A great experience. Both are true enthusiasts. I asked people for recommendations prior to booking the car for its service. I will ensure these guys get my business going forward. Hope this helps.

I've used Track V Road for 3 or 4 years and really recommend them. They have enormous experience and I trust them completely...plus if you're in the area and hungry then the three fishes pub is a decent stopping place.

Spoilt for choice really in the North West but it's Track V Road for me and has been for several years with no complaints.

Another vote for Track V Road here. They're a cracking bunch of people, vastly experienced and very professional. I trust them implicitly with the Cerb, simply because the work they do is top drawer, every time. Its in there as we speak, actually. You should give them a call.

Yet another vote for X-Works, they always look after my P&J. However, as has been said, we are spoilt for choice around here.

I have not had any dealing with any other TVR specialist except Track V Road in Clitheroe, although I have had lots of experience dealing with car garages that have repaired my other cars in the past.

I can confirm, without exception, Richard, Craig and Ian at Track V Road have been brilliant.

They have always charge less than they could of or I expected.

Where possible, recommended other solutions to a problem which were less costly, even if more hassle and less profit for them.

They have delivered every promise made and have changed my car from something that was ok to drive to something that is great to drive.

But most importantly, it is a great place to go, have a coffee, skive from work and chat to a good bunch of guys who love talking about TVR’s

I have no interest in their business, but feel that with their attitude to customers, people need to be told how good they are

I can also vouch for Track V Road, Dealt with Richard and he was incredibly knowledgeable and I was kept fully upto date throughout the service and with the few bits and pieces that needed to be done. The bill also came in a little under the estimate which is always good :-)
