I've just bought a track day car (S2000) to compliment the V8V and as I'm trawling through trying to find the best sources of S2000 info I cam across Mikey K. So I assume it's the same Mikey K on here.

As you seem to have done quite a bit of mods etc I'd be interested in any pearls of wisdom you might have. I did buy the car as a bit of an impulse purchase as I wanted a track day car to replace my Elise and the S2000 fitted the bill so I don't know much about them.

I should apologise I expect for starting a non-Aston thread - but I'm happy to post pics of the car when I pick it up to comply with forum rules smile

I wouldn't worry. From my limited experience they normally end up as non-Aston threads smile

Thanks, that a nice looking car. Is it 'Meteroite Silver' by any chance smile I think the one I bought is the same colour.

Being a complete newbie to them I don't know what I don't know if you get what I mean. The car is standard apart from the wheels which have been changed but I think the tyre size is consistent as its an 04 model.

My current plan is to see how it performs on track ( already got a couple booked) and then see where to take it from there. I came from a reasonable modified Elise ( audi engine, nitron suspension and sticky tyres) so I am really looking forward to seeing what this will be like. If I understand they can be a bit twitchy on the edge and once you go past the edge they are not easy to hold.....

Taking it for a geo as soon as I pick it up and at this stage I've just asked for a fast road/track set up. Anything I should specifically ask for?

From previous experience, good semi slick tyres made the biggest difference offering fantastic grip on the Elise, any recommendation on tyres would be useful.

How did you get to that level of bhp? I assume supercharger but then there must have been a lot more mods?

Thanks

Right universe wrong solar system wink
It's Moonrock.
I'll do you a proper post on the S2000 for you later in the weekend (got a few other things on wink )
Though your learnings from the Lotus and the potential improvements to a Vantage are pretty much common to the Honda.
