anyone know if the food at this place is any good..... reviews seem good on tripadvisor...

if it is crap, where;s nice between here and baldock?

Beales is about 3 minutes from my office - Carpark is a good size and would be ideal for a car meet. Restaurant is nice but not somewhere I would go for a car meet, bit too formal in that respect. I would scrap the restaurant idea anyways, not very car orientated.

You might also want to look into the roadworks leading up to the tunnel southbound at the moment.

thanks mate.... drove southbound last sunday.... three lanes down to fifty up to 200 yds from the tunnel and then the road works clear.... no cameras ... actually is ideal as three abreast slowed right down will allow a gap to build up going into the tunnel....

though formal, the costs are okay... hard to know, when i attended m5 meets, we ate in such places and it was nice... if its a low turnout, could change to a pub etc where parking may then not be an issue... you interested?
