Using old car parts for new things

Right this is my first topic so take it easy please

Anyway today I got hold of some old brake discs and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what I could use them for. For example the top gear table ??


Also if anyone has built something using old car parts ... Pictures pleasee

My father turns brake discs, especially from motorcycles, into clocks for some reason. Have no idea why?
He said that he would love to make a v8 or Harley v2 based table.

I have 2 3SGE (mr2, celica) blocks that I always fancied making into a couple of end tables and selling on, I just can never convince myself that somebody would want them, also they are cast iron blocks so they are bloody heavy!

Yeah thats the only problem with making a table out of the blocks you have to pick a engine thats a decent size and weight.

I might try and pick up a small motor maybe from a ka or something similar and try my luck with that
