Just to settle a pub debate I was having... was the Cerbera ever offered with a Rover V8 or did It only ever come with the AJP V8 and straight 6?
I saw a Rover V8 Cerb on ebay but cant tell if its an owner conversion.

thanks,
Matt

Just AJP8 and speed 6. Rover one for sale is an owner mod.

IIRC the original concept was to run the RV8 engine, but when the AJP came along (for the Tuscan racers originally?) they stuck it in the Cerb and the rest is, as they say, history smile

Hi, not that you need any evidence, but as an ex-auditor it is something I always find myself looking for. Below (i hope) is the TVR price list from Oct 2000, which happens to be the month my cerb was registered.

Found it in my mates new Tuscan manual after having a poke around, he only bought it this week having finally seen the light. Am slightly surprised that the Tuscan was £7,000 more than a speed six cerb, but then I would guess not many people actually pay list price.

Whilst not proving they never offered the rover v8 before or since, it may be more evidence than just the 'some guy on Pistonheads said so' comment...

Don't know about discounts.. When Tvr were in their glory years you wouldn't get a discount. Certainly when I bought my first back in 97/98 that was the case.
