Last year one of my teenage dreams came true
I had been looking to purchase a TVR, I had owned a 1986 350 some 12 years ago, but was now wanting another TVR to scratch that itch we have all felt
I could not decide what to buy, when the following Google search led me to my purchase
For some years, every few months, I would search for ‘SEAC for sale’ in Google, if anything did come up, it showed sold once the link took me to the advert. That was until last June, when it led me to a car that was still available.
I went to see it, I had to have it! - It came home, back to Lancashire.
It ran ok, but there were a number of jobs that needed to be done as car just felt a little tired. When it failed its MOT back in October, we had to get them fixed and once we started, the list just grew, but working with Ian, Richard & Craig at Track V Road, we have slowly resolved these problems.
The biggest difference is the suspension upgrade that they recommended. The car was leaning to one side and there were a number of options to solve this problem. The one we agreed on was the same upgrade as Ian had done to his Tasmin race car. In fact, looking at what Ian did, it was more suspension change rather than an upgrade. It is now fitted with coil over 'Nitrons' which has transformed how the car feels on the road. Ian is a magician, the difference is amazing
While this work started, I met John – The Trim Technician, we discussed that the upholstery was looking a bit tired (not surprising considering the car is 24 years old). The seats were broken, very saggy and most uncomfortable. We agreed on a colour scheme and spec, with the help from Richard at Track V Road found some new seats that would work in the car and once Ian had finished his work, off the car went to Blackpool to be trimmed
The car drives like it should – Ian has done a brilliant job
The seats Richard recommended work in the car (they are from the same era) and I am so please I took his advice
The upholstery work that John has carried out looks great, especially the seats and he has done just what I wanted. The stitching detail on the seats is perfect and so difficult to do well. He also organised getting the dash re-polished ‘piano black’, which looks perfect.
I know this has gone on a bit, but I wanted to thank the guys, and tell everyone how pleased I am. The car came home today, after going into the garage in October last year, I am so pleased with what has been done and would recommend the two companies to anyone
Now I am going to bed, up early, for a day of cleaning the car so it is ready for Chatsworth on Sunday.
I am told this will help braving the biblical monsoon conditions that are forecasted for Sunday (quite apt).
May be Ian should have designed some inflatable contraption to help the car float ............... now we are getting into an earlier childhood dream.

Looks nice in there, the seats look like recaro's...
Ive got recaro's in my SEAC and had them recovered and they are so much better to sit in and the feel.
Your trimmer has done a cracking job throught the car, i fancy fitting door speekers too like yours.
