How loud is your fuel pump ?
Discussion
I have noticed that I can hear (what I assume to be ) the fuel pump running at tick over and don’t recall hearing it previously. Prior to starting the engine I get the 3-4 second whine as the system pressurises but when the pump has stopped I can now hear a gurgling sound almost like some one blowing bubbles. I think this is the sound I can hear at tick over. I guess it could be the return fuel sent back by the regulator, but if something is about to expire I would rather change it first. What noise does yours make ?

Have you got a rollover bar? That can amplify the noise.
Paul
Have you got the blower direction turned away from the windcreen?
Our vent system seems to make a similar gurgling noise to the fuel pump when the direction is not in the full windscreen position even when the fan is off???? If you turn it even slightly away from "up" the noise starts again.
Try it with the ignition on.
Don't ask me why but I guess TADTS.

I follow what you mean about the fan, I guess it is because the speed is contolled by PWM, but the noise is definitely from the pump/ tank area, Yes I do have a factory roll bar ( noise amplifier) fitted. I think most relevant is the comment about only noticing it on a low tank. Filled it to half and the effect has gone, so I conclude it is the returned fuel bubbling back into the tank.
