Just been for a test drive, new clutch working perfectly.

Problem is both windows wont go up.
I have definately reconnected the plug to the switches under the centre trim.
The 30amp fuse was ok but i tried a new one but no luck.

Any ideas?
I would rather drive to Chatsworth knowing i can put my windows up just in case of the slight chance of some rain.

Do they even attempt to go, does the motor make any noise?

Remove speaker from door card - reach in and make sure wires to the winder motor are secure - perhaps a little 'jiggle' is required.

That was exactly the problem I had with the pax side - think the wire has had it and have't dared to put the pax windown down since!!

Best of luck.

Derek.

Isn't there an unused connector that's similar to the others under the console.
Maybe you've connected it by mistake and it's cut out the circuit, must have been something you've touched imho.

Good luck.

?
Theres only one big plug that the window switches connect to.
Why so many wires for something that should be simple?

There are 2 small plugs unused with a black and white wire each but i dont think they have ever been connected to anything.

Me and electrics dont get on. This is going to make me miss Chatsworth!

I believe those 2 are for the rear windows, (Range Rover).

I believe 1 connector at the rear goes to the speedo thingy drive and 1 is spare from memory.

When do you intend to go?

pull off the connectors and just complete the circuit with a power to the switch line?

What's the worst that can happen, a fuse???

Got a mate looking into my windows smile

He says i have power through the fuse and the earth from the switches are ok but there is no power getting to the switches.

Is there something between the fuse and the switch? Relay?
