Just completed a 60 mile drive and had the best by a long way ever mpg.
The strange thing is I am now at 0 miles left for the next service. It's booked in for next week.
The best I've done until now was 33.4, today I managed 36.3. Cruise set at 65mph.
Car is a 2003 clk 320 tip petrol. 49k.

Maybe I should put off the service!

Why would you put off the service?
Because you believe not having the car serviced you will somehow maintain better MPG??? I dont get itconfused

Well, I was just thinking if anyone else had experienced this, better mpg near at the service interval. I've managed 33 on the odd occasion but this was like almost respectable.

For those interested I was early picking up my daughter. That's why I was on cruise control at 65.... I normally drive at a decent man speed 85 odd leptons.
