For a while now i have had to go in to communications then settings to get the ECU to connect to my lap top

It will not connect at all now ,when i go in to communications the settings is not highlighted so i can`t connect at all.

When i open Tuner Studio it is now saying

"A PROBLEM WAS ENCOUNTED LOADING THIS PROJECT
Repotred Error
..............MS3 EXTRA EXAMPLE

Now im confused

Should the settings be high lighted even if the PC is not connected to the ECU

Methinks you've been pressing buttons you shouldn't have.

The clue is in the error report " .... MS3 Extra Example"

Youve opened an MS3 file or tried to make an MS3 project when you have an MS2, by the sounds of that error, youve opened the MS3 Example file thats part of Tuner Studio.
