Live Indycar from Sao Paulo - Sky Sports F1 HD on now!

As per title.

Indycar from Sao Paulo just started on Sky Sports F1 HD a few minutes ago.

Commentary is absolutely dire though. Even Legard could do a better job.

Not watching it on Sky, but assume it's the usual case of the boys in the studio taking the feed from the US broadcaster? The US commentary is usually pretty poor, especially if they have Scott Goodyear droning on.

They started the race earlier than planned to avoid bad weather moving in.


Banzai Sato just caused a traffic jam behind him and an 8 car wipeout at the restart

He wasn't to actually blame except to help bunch up those behind as he block passed it in turn 1.

They keep chopping and changing what channel to broadcast it on. The first race of the season was on Sky Sports F1 via the red button, then the next race was on Sky Sports 3. Last night it was on Sky Sports F1, but the Indy 500 will be on Sky Sports 4.

I wish they would put it on Sky Sports F1 permanently (mainly because I want to see the Indy 500 but I don't have the Sky Sports package, only the HD pack). They have this channel where, quite frankly, they have trouble filling the schedule if there isn't a live race on. There's only so much of F1 Legends: Nigel Mansell that I can take.

When Franchitti was punted off, I desperately wanted to lean into the TV and put him back onto the track into his slot, pointing in the right direction....

Something about the latest Indycar that is so Scalextric.

As much as I enjoy Indycar, they really need to sort out their recovery process, as that race seemed to spend an eternity under yellow for what were generally minor incidents. Very disjointed viewing. Good to see Sato finally get a decent result. Indy next

Why create a street circuit when they already have a track and all the required facilities within the city?

Bernie has a contract for the F1 to race at Interlagos and probably has a clause that says no other major single seater race series can race there if they want to keep the F1.
