Damn it, I broke my clutch master cylinder after the second session. The Evo X was going so well too. Amazing with the Carbotech XP20's fitted. Only got two wet sessions to try them, but they were imesnse.

I have a new uprated master cylinder on order...... Damned cars......

Ah I wondered why you went home early. I was in one of the many 172 cups there. It dried out in the afternoon as well!!

There seemed to be a multiplicity of Clios.

And not only that, there were a lot of them as well.

Felt sorry for the one who wiped the side of his car off against the barrier, after spinning coming out of Camp on only his second lap!

This was early on while it was raining but I'm sure it will be repaired and live to fight again really soon.

Bit disappointed how long the marshals took to respond to this incident though; they didn't seem to notice anyone had gone off until a bunch of us stood up on the bank started jumping up and down, shouting and waving.

Our car went perfectly though especially after lunch when the track had dried out.

Yea the marshals did seem to take along time to respond as I'd just gone out and immediately had red flags, so it must've happened then!
What car were you in?^^

The Clio incident was a bit strange. We have had many days at combe, and the marshalling has always been absolutely fine. It seems that the two marshals in the vicinity were involved with letting one car into the first part of of the pit and the other was then releasing another driver onto the circuit. With his back turned the Clio went into the tyre wall and as it was so windy , neither of them heard it. When they looked back to the track the car was out of site of both of them as it was amongst the tyres. Odd! Fortunately the next couple of cars that came through spotted it and slowed down.

We were really lucky with the weather though as the track was pretty much dry by 10.30.
Gutted about the clutch rob, was really looking forward to some laps in the evo.

We were in the BRG MX-5, but after the sighting laps had a rest for an hour or so while we waited for the track to dry out a bit! That's how both of us, with about half-a-dozen other guys, ended up on the bank watching the drama unfold.

Ah the green and yellow one? I was following you when I first went out and I saw you spin, then I locked up into the first chicane then I saw you spin again.

Yep, spun twice on consecutive laps in exactly the same place, the gentle right-hander following the first chicane. (Never spun there before!) Only spun once more the whole day.

It will indeed wink

Good to chat to you and your mate in the afternoon! As you said, just cosmetical damage and is good to go again now with a new door! Will be picking it up Saturday, hopefully.

No more trackdays in the wet for me, though, especially not on 888s!

Next trackday is definitely going to be an airfield day with plenty of run off!!biggrin
