Is anyone else going to be at Brands Hatch to support the TVRCC Challenge series race on Sat 7th August?

Recent races have seen some very close racing all the way down the grid, and this is a great opportunity to show your support for a race series that really does deserve it.

More details are up on the series website - www.tvrcc-challenge.com

Hi folks.
Apart from the stalwart few there have been too few supporters this year for some reason. I think that's possibly down to lack of news and information, whipping up the enthusiasm in Sprint.

Your Editor has promised to pop in at Brands so I'm sure we can put this right from now on.

We have had some cracking races this season the sight of the two Griffs mixing it with the Tasmins and the sound of the Turbo Tazs makes it an interesting experience. We were on circuit the other day with the Formula Woman drivers and a few of them came over to find out why the Tasmins made that 'funny' noise!

We may also have Jeff Parkinsons 3000m out to play too!

See you there.

Dear all,

I have just spoken with my contact at brands hatch.

He is going to try and sort out some parking for us.

It looks like the South Bank is free again, however he is going to let me know if he can allocate us somthing on the other side of the track.

I will post up later with confirmed details.

Thanks

Lake

Hi All,

Here is the low-down on the parking.

We have been allocated space for TVR parking in the Expo Site car park, which if my understanding is correct is a hard standing area behind the main hospitality area.

Marshals will (should) direct you there from the main gate.

Now the down side of all this... Brands as you will all know are under new management, and they are now changing people £2 per car to park within the grounds of the track. So if you want to use the allocated parking you now need to pay. My understanding is that if you park in the main public car park then it will be free.

At the end of the day the choice of where you park is up to you.

Thanks and I hope to see some of you on Saturday.

We've got back from a very enjoyable but hot day at Brands Hatch!

The TVRCC race was very exciting with a great battle for the lead between the Cosworth turbo powered Tasmin of Simon Mason and the Griffith of Simon Bowes, with Steve Lewis not far behind in 3rd. Despite the small grid, there were some other good battles down the field, with Graham Walden having a good dice despite being 40bhp down on power!

Managed to bump into and chat to a few other PHers, and hopefully will see more at the next race!
