£38k DB9 Volante on Ebay - WTF!!!
Discussion
Hi I've just seen an 05 DB9 Volante on ebay for £38,999!!
Having just bought mine 4 weeks ago for £10k more, this sort of depreciation will mean that by Christmas they'll be giving them away with breakfast cereal.
I thought I'd took a caning when I lost £10k on my DB7 in 15 months (+£4k in repair bills), even though that was a GTa and supposedly rare.
I know i'm a hypocrite, when I was looking to buy I was pleased that prices had fallen but now I've bought.....

Errrm... blimey! That is cheap. No cruise or phone prep, trim is Mahongany not walnut as stated, but if not a Cat D and if it has a good service history and passes an inspection, that is an absolute bargain.
Irrelevant as I don't intend to sell mine, but we're in DB7 territory here. No disrespect to the DB7, but this is a in a different world of build and technology. Interesting to see how long it hangs around at that price...

I know, it's done 3 times the mileage on mine. But it is a one owner car and although I like the colour I wouldn't have bought it myself. Nor do intend to sell anytime soon, but if I'm ever in a position to trade mine for a DBS Volante the fact they are out there at this sort of money will affect me.
I note they also have an 07 DB9 coupe with sports pack, I owner, and only 7k miles for 55k which also seems good value......unfortunately guys for us owners, I think those prices are realistic......CAP on the Volante is 39k retail with 50k miles. For want of a better expression the arse has fallen out of 100+k gas guzzling GT's
To the OP.....enjoy your car.....It’s always a mistake to look at prices so close to buying a car as there is always....ALWAYS a better deal to be had....so best not look

OP - did you buy from a main dealer?
That's not a bad deal. Anybody want my my07 v8v with 2 yrs official aston warranty? ;-)
No I bought from McGurk, I wasn't complaining about what I paid as that seems to be the going rate, at the other end of the spectrum there are a few main dealers offering similar things in the high £50's including another one one ebay at £59,999That's not a bad deal. It is cheap - but it is a "marmite" colour & interior on a very early car with high miles (for an Aston ).
It's a DB7 paint - I agree, not for everyone. The DB9 equivalent would have been Celeste Blue, I wonder why the went for the Islay paint, probably at extra cost? Unles of course it's a mistake in the ad! Celeste cars have always commanded far less money; without being unduly sexist or maligning any owners, it's somewhat of a 'girl's' colour. If it's the light blue being discussed, then it does have nearly 50k mies on the clock.
My Dad was told his 29,000 mile 05 Volante was high mileage when he recently asked for a part ex at a sports car dealer. The price he was offered was £35,000.
Maybe the dealer bought it cheap and wants a quick turn around, or perhaps he's had it for sale for a while?
Whatever the reason, it is a cheaper car and should be a good buy if everything checks out OK!
