Hi all
I have got an S2 at the moment which has been fantastic for 3 years and has had a full off the body restoration.
After a few events last year I am able to try something different and the Tam's have caught my eye ever since Chatsworth last year.
What are people opinions on this? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2535560.htm
Feel free to PM me if you want. Basic budget £15k to ensure a contingency fund for running it. A couple of other questions do the 3.6's have less issues than the 4.0 or should I always budget for a rebuild and what are peoples insurances like?
Going to get out and see a few next weekend (12/13th) so I am trying to compile a shortlist. I am in North Yorks so will be going to TrackV and HHC for a nosey anyway.
Thanks
Andy.

There are other threads here asking the same question re S6 engines.
Do not recall any difference in long term reliability between 3.6 and 4.0
An 02 registered 3.6 with 52k on the clock is impressive, but not surprising.
All I can suggest is budget 3-4k a year.
And don't forget to be prepared for aching jaws cos you will be grinning loads!
