Bonhams is auctioning an amazing Mini, which signifies a very import part of our beloved car’s history. The guide price for the decrepit Austin Seven Deluxe is £12,000 to £15,000. It seems high considering that the Mini was a mass-produced city runaround.

Mk1 Mini's are becoming so collectable now though, long gone are they days of £250 runners. They are now very soughts after look at cooper prices. Still cant quite understand it though, somebodys made some serious cash in the deal

I could perhaps understand the £35k if it was in reasonable nick but, by the time it is 'restored', there will be precious little left of the original car.

Restoration cost of another £40-50k? Is it honestly worth it? I know it is a rare car but at the end of the day it's just a Mini.
