When did radiator caps stop having rubber seals?

2 types of those caps one for a header tank (rubber seal)& non header tank (no rubber seal) older Fords used both subject to what system it was running
see here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RADIATOR-PRESSURE-CAP-Fo... you can also use a late seventies/early eighties Honda cap as this always as the seal and is the correct pressure too
