What do you think of this? I've always wondered whether replicas are wise buys. What's the general consensus?

The first thing that goes through my head with these,is has it been crashed and rebuilt?
I think you have to be a certain type of person to buy one of these. The type who will buy a fake Rolex for example.
This car does not look bad, it is based on a 930 so it will have a turbo lump.In terms of it being a Gt2....the suspension will no doubt be of the earlier type and overall the driving experience will obviously be less than a real GT2.Having said that if you could find a real rhd GT2 it would be easily north of £100k possibly near £120k? Not for me at all, but seems a fair price if you could stand the pretence.

99.9% sure thats Richard Longs old car, before he sold it & did his GT3R conv on a GT3.
It looks the part, but somewhat lacking in power & handling.
The one however that caught my eye rather more is the LHD 993 GT2 g force conversion in August 911 & pork world (p130) looks like its a 993T thats had the front dif ripped off.
No GT2 big arches but they are relitivly easy to get sorted.
'If' its a good car, the £29,500 asking price seems a bit of a brucey bonus & just a tad cheaper than the real thing!
