Internet / Mail Order Brake Fluid

Hi all,

Anybody know a good and quick online motor factor that I can order some 'Mobil SAE J1703' from?

Also, how much do I need to do a change of brake fluid in a Cerbera?

Go to Motor Factors and get a litre or three of Dot 5.1

This is about the best brake fluid apart from race stuff.

If you are going to change the fluid you will need to push the pistons back to ensure that all the dirty fluid is flushed out. The system will then need bleeding. I use a pressure bleeder initially as it makes getting the air out easier and you don't need a second person. I also strongly recommend getting the correct brake nipple spanner so that there is less chance of breaking/rounding them.

Unfortunately it's not the king of thing I can do myself...but I'm also not too sure about how good the local mechanic is....amd I'm sucked off with constantly going back to the specialist!

So I'm trying to find an honest trustworthy local mechanic that can do it for me!

Take it Tower View. They probably could do it for you while you wait. They have done it enough times for me when I couldn't quite get the last bit of air out! SOmetimes it seems to take a magic test.
