I guess we all know the Big Bang suffered from awful weather over the weekend and they had to evacuate the site early Sunday morning and yet again everyone at Santa Pod worked their butts of to get everyone safely off site so well done to all

Maybe some of the racers that allegedly don't want to come to the Main Event because for once at the Finals the track was not up to its usual standard should think about supporting those that work so hard to provide a track to race on.

Yeah, it was a disappointing and expensive way to spend the weekend. But being stuck in the pits didn't diminish the efforts of the staff at Santa Pod. Ultimately, it didn't matter and not a wheel was turned. But I can't fault the venue at all.

I suppose theres a world of difference between a fan/spectator travelling a few miles and a racer with a major investment in fuel/ferries travelling the odd 1000 mile to race (or maybe not) and thats without any issues with the surface for going 250mph+ (good or bad)

what is it the red indians say "dont critise a man till you walk a mile in his shoes"?

This one was particularly dissapointing for the VWDRC. Its the clubs 25th year and this round of the championship attended by many vw fans, is always a good one. A big field entered with many new Pro cars, and the Saturday Pro v Sportsman Shootout, all sadly lost.

Santa Pod was in a state like we had never seen before and just all pleased that we / no one was actually washed away. Seriously.

So. You want a big field of VWs?

NINE second beetle?

Pro v Sportsman Shootout?

BugJam, round 5 of the national championship, head to pits and soak up the friendly atmosphere and in eve bring a beer a P A R T Y ....
