I've been taking 3 tablets (spasmanol) a day for my stomach anyway and now I've got a killer headache/toothache/earache all at the same time! I've had 6 ibuprofen today aswel as 2 paracetamol.. This seems like too much but I'm in that much pain when my toothache kicks in I felt like I had to take them!

I'm fine sat up in bed like I am now but as soon as I try get some sleep it's seriously painful! Meant to be up at 6am for work but going to call in sick and go to the emergency dentist..

Is there anything I can do to help me sleep and am I taking too many tablets?

You can take lots of ibuprofen - way above the 'recommended' dose (however it's a gastric irritant).

The one thing to beware of is paracetamol. Don't ever exceed the recommended dose, however you can mix it with ibuprofen as the drugs are of different families.

If you're a youngish person, and prescribed Spasmonal without further investigation, I'd press your GP for this.

Colon cancer is rare in the under 40s, but it's not unheard of.

Okay thanks, I've only taken 2 paracetamol so should be fine, so I could take the maximum dose of both which it says on the pack and not worry?
I've got a doctors appointment on Thursday, my spasmonal have run out but. It sure of I want to continue taking them..

Add 3 antibiotics a day to that now!
