Hi, i was at the trackday held by Bookatrack.com on Thursday 22nd July at Goodwood and was wondering if anyone had some pictures of the day?
I had my Yellow Elise 111S 'D4V KC' there and my Mrs took a couple of snaps but she's no David Bailey! (Just as well i suppose) Please let me know if you have any pictures of the event.
Cheers
David

Most of my pics are of that idiot in the blue Griff!

I'll check through my pictures for you. Lots of video too (but the batteries ran out just as I was going 45degrees down the straight after the chicane!)

Also try picman. He'll have some pics of your car, but at a price.

Good day wasn't it. I loved the circuit.

Hi, thanks for the links, don't look bad but he's a bit expensive you're right. I had a really good day, really picked my pace up and overtook a lot of cars. Good fun and the big boys with the SL55 couldn't catch me either.

Very satisfying!

I think i may have a picture of me comin' out of the chicane about to overtake the Griff....

I'll see if i can find it and e-mail it too you. Gotta run sorry, speak soon
Cheers

But you never saw the reason you were about to overtake!

I was 45 degree out from the direction I wanted to be.....
Each way 3 times!

That 111s of yours was quick though, very quick.
(But I overtook you too nearer the beginning of the day! I have a feeling you weren't trying though! A friend of mine (Cuzza) has an Elise and we have already tested the relative merits of our cars on varying roads. The results were as you would no doubt already have guessed.

Plus it was the cool down lap just after my minor error! I had to do a full lap at about 60 in fifth and sometimes even that wasnt enough and I had to go for a little drive on the roads too. Pretty impressive that you didnt need to cool down at all. Careful on those brakes though.

So, did it rain much after I left? I imagine it dried up almost straight away!

My last run at 4 was not as bad as the one at 3 so it was drying quick.
The last 2 sessions of the day were merged into one big session as quite a few left early.

Hi DustyC
Sorry i'm so late to reply, it's been manic at the office. I've got about 10-12 pics from the circuit, one with 'The Griff' in and a movie clip of me getting away from the SL55. Do you want me to e-mail them to you. The movies 8 Meg and the car pics 0.7 meg each but i can obviously make them smaller. They're about A3 size at the moment. Despite the 'professional' photographer (My Mrs) she managed some pretty good pics.

Going back to your earlier statemant, my car does seem to go like stink. I'm very pleased with it but ultimately i'll be selling it in the spring to a guy at work as i want a Mk2 Elise 111S. My car has uprated Greenstuff pads, original spec drilled disks and briaded hoses. The brakes are basically brilliant.

The only engine mods to the car are a 57i Induction kit and a Brook Kennsington exhaust. But it seems to work well! I think it'll do 5.1 to 60 and 14.4 1/4 mile.

These figures based on figures quoted on websites which have done rolling road tests and a similarly moded 111S at Santa-pod.

Also with numerous traffic light races with a 996 Porsche driver who was rather surprised i left him behind. I know this, as he told me at the next set of lights we stopped at. I believe the frase he used was was "That goes well, i must have paid twice the money you did?" My reply "Actualy it was about 4 times (squeal or tortured rubber as i lauched off again and left him with a big grin on my face!)"

Then i left him behind again at the next set, promising him i'd done no 'real' tuneing to it. The last set of lights had a 2 mile straight after them. Obviously he had me then, but he stuggled till about 95! Very satisfying.
