Anyone see Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear ask why there is such persecution of drivers?
I sent him the following to assist. Scuse the repetition.
Dear Jeremy,
You asked why the government appears to hate cars so much. The reason is revealed, inter alia, in the Copenhagen Declaration from the Car free Cities network at the EU.

The speed camera issue is not about saving lives or making money but about removing as many licences from drivers as quickly as possible.

Actually it is good to see Jezza and the lads having a bit of a go.
After this weeks show the discussion @ villa FiF centred round how long it would be before the TG editorial team (editor Andy Wilman iirc) received a No10 Downing Street rant trying to influence them.
I would hope that if that happens then Jezza just ups the ante. I know in his shoes that would be my response to a Campbell-esque bullying mail. (Yes I know Alistair isn't there anymore but .....leopards & spots you know.)
Slight aside I found the Toyota Prius spot a couple of weeks ago hilarious.
