Scissor Lift and jacking points on T-Chassis
Discussion
Want to place an order for a lift for my garage but want to make triple sure of its suitability..
measurements are here http://www.automotechservices.co.uk/garage_scissor...
On my tuscan the sill length from front to back is approximately 1700mm. The lift though is 1400mm so that wont reach the standard jacking point with the ramp extension flaps folded down. With one of the end flaps folded up in position it extends the lift surface to approximately 1600mm.
My question is, would it be 100 % safe to elevate the car on the lift (on top of lifting blocks) which werent necessarilly located on the standard jacking points? If that makes sense..
