I'm trying a 997.2 Turbo tomorrow - previously owned a 997.2 C2 PDK, Cayman S, and presently own a GTS.

What have I got to look forward to? How will it compare to the GTS for those who've driven both?

Just about the fastest thing you've driven as if you're strapped to an ICBM rocket with ear plugs on.

Nuclear powered.

I'd be suprised by that lol! the gallardo feels only limited by grip haha!

Looks like a really nice spec on the Turbo from what I've seen smile active engine mounts too!

GTS more fun, turbo fast but numb many commented on how nice it sounded didn't really bond with it.

I would guess you will like everything apart from the sound of it, compared to your GTS!

Picked it up this morning - it's very, very fast, very efficient. There's loads of grip. I went round the same corners to work as I've done in the LP550 and you can tell there's a lot more grip. Speed wise, the LP feels a touch faster (which it should do - more power, less weight, less grip), but A-B I expect 90% of people would be faster in the TT due to it just being very pointy and grippy.

I really like it. I could see this being the perfect day to day car - comfy suspension, nice pace, nice level of noise.

Not sure how it compares the the GTS. In terms of "sportiness" it feels like:

997.2 Turbo --> GTS --> LP550

The GTS isn't as fast but feels more direct, the front is definately a lot lighter, you feel the extra weight in the Turbo which to be honest makes it more confidence inspiring.

Very nice car. They had a lovely white one in the OPC too:

I don't know about numb but the GTS definately has more feedback. Both nice cars to be honest. I could see a turbo being ideal day to day. The Turbo feels closer to the C2 PDK I had than it does to the GTS in terms of experience.

Why not go for a turbo S? More power, faster, what's not to like?

While the lambo is spinning it's wheels the turbo will be gone, traction and PDK box make the Porsche stupidly fast for everyday use, not as special as the Italians . I had mine mapped with 200 cell cats and tubi exhaust, I had to sell it before I got banned, the only time I had it any were near it's limits was coming down the route napoleon, touching 140/150 leptons at times.

for that extra 20k it will cost you you get a wopping 20bhp/ton more.
997.2 normal turbo's seem good value atm, the S is still a shed load of more cash for that extra few 1/10ths second to a ton.
