Schumacher said himself a few years ago Mclaren was tempting.. but went with Ferrari instead.
He always wanted to race for Mercedes so i guess he is doing that now.

That clip was part of the 6 episode documentary called "The Team " following McLaren during the 93 season originally shown on BBC2.

What makes you think Ron Dennis was drunk? A man who shows such obsessive attention to detail would never let his guard slip in such a way..

An interview with RD in MotorSport magazine a few years ago reported that in 1998-1999 Dennis was in very serious talks with MSC.


I wonder if MSC was talked to in 2006 about the prospects for 2007....imagine that...

Was there not talk of Hakkinen making a comeback in 2007..
I think Autosport mentioned he was in the simulators
That would of been interesting!
I think Mika probably retired a few seasons too early.

It would be great to see mika back fighting with msc again.

Mika was going to make a comeback however I seem to recall that he changed his mind after after 'crashing' a couple of times in the simulator.

I think he damaged his wrist & subsequently decided against his comeback. It's a shame as I thnk he would have been successful.

As for Schmacher at McLaren - that is like thinking about Senna going to Ferrari. A great thought it something that, sadly, we were denied.

There was talk/Rumour of him having a test for Bmw Williams 2004.
Frank does like former F1 champs so made sense at the time.

I remember reading that Hakkinen was approached by Ferrari several times, as well as Schumacher being approached by Mclaren. Imagine both of them in equal machinery... Shame it didn't happen.
