Gaz Gold Pro settings?
Discussion
I've had these on for about 3k miles on the set up provided by the garage - 14 from soft at the front and 12 from soft on the rear.
Day to day it feels a bit harsh and struggles a bit with high speed / high frequency bumps (i.e., those awful stretches of concrete motorway) and is really, really skittish in the wet.
That said, when you're pushing on in the dry, its so much better than the original Bilsteins and is very controllable.
I just wondered if anyone has played around with their set up and hit on something which is a better compromise?
Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers.

Sounds very much like my experience with then.
I ran my Gaz Gold Pros at 13 all round for quite a while then decided to back them off a fraction.
Haircutmike advised me that the rears should be a couple of clicks less than the fronts so I took the opportunity to have a tweak.
They are now set at 10 rear & 12 front which works well, it still handles great but is a fraction less harsh now.
Tip - when making your adjustments back them right off to zero then dial in your new setting, rather than just backing them off a click or two.
If you just make a small adjustment the valve may not seat correctly and you could get a slight squeak & faint misting around the valve.

Also, set them from hard not soft as you'll probably find there are a different number of clicks side to side.
FFG
Thats the problem ,can`t work out if its a click or not ! both rears react slightly different on the first click.FFG
So if mine are set on 10 and 12 from soft how many is that from hard.|?

Completely agree with this - IMHO this is a much better "all round" setting than anything much stiffer, at least for everyday use.
It might just be me, but a little more compliance in the springs seems to really suit the Chimp.
Thanks guys.
